Detailed Itinerary

  • Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our guide at Paro Airport.
  • Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s beautiful capital (approx. 1.5 hours).
  • En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge — a 15th-century marvel built by Thangtong Gyalpo.
  • Evening: explore Thimphu city, including the Craft Bazaar, Clock Tower Square, and local cafés.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • After breakfast, visit Thimphu’s key highlights:
    • Buddha Dordenma Statue – one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.
    • Memorial Chorten – a monument of peace.
    • Takin Preserve – home to Bhutan’s national animal.
  • After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to Punakha Valley via Dochula Pass (3,100m) — offering a breathtaking view of the Himalayas and 108 chortens.
  • Arrive in Punakha and check into your hotel.
  • Evening leisure walk along the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s longest.
  • Overnight at hotel in Punakha.
  • Morning briefing and safety orientation with our certified rafting team.
  • Choose your rafting level:
    • Mo Chhu River (Beginner level, Grade I–II) – gentle and scenic, ideal for families.
    • Pho Chhu River (Intermediate, Grade II–IV) – perfect for thrill-seekers.
  • Experience an unforgettable ride through clear Himalayan waters with views of rice terraces, lush valleys, and the majestic Punakha Dzong along the riverbanks.
  • Optional afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong, the “Palace of Great Happiness.”
  • Evening relaxation or local village walk.
  • Overnight in Punakha.
  • After breakfast, drive back to Paro Valley (approx. 4–5 hrs).
  • En route, stop for photo breaks and local tea at Dochula Pass.
  • Visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Fortress) and National Museum (Ta Dzong) upon arrival.
  • Evening stroll through Paro town for shopping and interaction with locals.
  • Overnight at hotel in Paro.
  • After early breakfast, embark on a hike to the world-famous Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) — perched dramatically on a cliffside at 3,120 meters.

  • Descend and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the valley.
